HONOR - JUSTICE - SACRIFICE

Tiwaz is the seventeenth rune and represents the spear of Tyr, the god of war and justice. Its upward-pointing arrow shape stands for unshakable determination and masculine strength aimed at a noble goal. If Sowilo is victory, Tiwaz is the courage it takes to win it by following law and honor. It recalls the sacrifice of Tyr, who gave up his hand to bind the wolf Fenrir, teaching that true power lies in responsibility and in the willingness to put the common good before one’s own interest.
