A tribute to the string that carries the groove.
Owed to ’G’ is a one-of-a-kind pendant, handcrafted using a bass G string (Sadowsky Strings) as the outer ring, combined with a wengé wood insert engraved on one side with the Dogstar logo (bass clef + star), and a smooth amaranto wood back.
The bass string — complete with its gold-colored bridge block — forms a 40 mm diameter ring, while the central wooden insert measures 16.5 × 32 mm. The full pendant reaches a total height of 57 mm.
Every detail is hand-finished with natural vegetable oil, with no varnishes or chemical treatments, preserving the raw, tactile character of the materials.
The name is a direct homage to the instrumental track “Owed to ’G’” from Come Taste the Band (1975) by Deep Purple, featuring Tommy Bolin and Glenn Hughes. A song without words, but full of soul — just like this creation.
